Alila Jabal Akhdar Wins the Green Landscape Award
Alila Jabal Akhdar received the Green Landscape Award during the Oman Green Awards and Summit held this September under the patronage of H.E. Mohammed bin Salim bin Said Al Tobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs in Oman. The ceremony was attended by various public and private sector organisations that contribute to encouraging eco-friendly initiatives.
Alila Jabal Akhdar’s on-going commitment to the environment is prominently represented in its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified construction. The resort’s design is in harmony with its surrounding environment, preserving the extraordinary natural beauty of the region. The Green Landscape Award was granted to the resort for its unique application of the proper environmental standards required to achieve sustainability and the LEED certification, the resort set itself as a pioneer to environmental contribution in Oman.
