Farming for Hospitality
In 2011, an income generating initiative entitled, ‘Farming for Hospitality’ was born under Omran’s ‘Intajeee’ CSR program to empower families residing in Al Batinah to improve their livelihoods by selling locally grown products such as honey, dates, eggs, fruits and vegetables through existing micro-businesses. Over 1,000 locally sourced, home-made Omani products were sold within the first week of launch. The goal was to ensure that communities thrive, by developing, managing and operating marketing opportunities for local communities.
