OMRAN Group a Strategic Partner for Six-a-Side Football World Cup ‘SOCCA 2024’
Demonstrating its commitment to enriching tourist experiences in the Sultanate of Oman and contributing to the enhancement of the Omani tourism sector, Oman Tourism Development Company āOMRAN Groupā entered into an agreement with the Sports Makers to sponsor the “SOCCA 2024” World Cup for Six-A-Side Football. This marks the tournament’s inaugural edition in the Middle East, scheduled to take place from November 28 to December 8, 2024, in Madinat Al-Irfan, Muscat.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Hashil Obaid Al-Mahrooqi, CEO of OMRAN Group, and Mr. Waleed Juma Al Obaidani, President of the International SOCCA Federation in the Middle East and CEO of Sports Makers, in the presence of several officials from both organizations.
Commenting on the agreement, Mr. Sultan Sulaiman Al Khudhoori, Asset Manager at OMRAN Group, stated, “Hosting the SOCCA 2024 World Cup is a landmark event that will attract visitors from around the world. This agreement reflects OMRAN Group’s ongoing efforts to support various prominent international events, which play a crucial role in enhancing the Sultanate of Oman’s global tourism profile. The group remains committed to supporting initiatives aimed at revitalizing tourism in Oman.”
Waleed Juma Al Obaidani, President of the International SOCCA Federation in the Middle East and CEO of Sports Makers, expressed, ‘We value the strategic partnership with OMRAN Group to host the SOCCA World Cup for Six-A-Side Football in the Sultanate of Oman at the end of this year. The SOCCA World Cup for Six-A-Side Football is expected to feature the participation of more than 44 to 85 teams from various countries. Additionally, it is anticipated that many spectators will attend to witness the participating teams and immerse themselves in the global competition atmosphere.
