OMRAN Group Honors First Eidaad Program Graduates

Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN Group) proudly celebrated the successful graduation of the first cohort of trainees from the Eidaad Program. This milestone exemplifies the commitment to empowering future leaders with essential skills and knowledge. The graduation ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Hashil Obaid Al Mahrouqi, Chief Executive Officer of OMRAN Group.

The Eidaad Program is a collaborative initiative with the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation (MoHERI), and Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). This intensive on-the-job training program aims to equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and experience required to excel in their respective fields. The national program, lasting a full academic year, targets students in their penultimate year of study at both public and private higher education institutions.

Hilal Al Jadidi, Chief People and Change Officer, commented on the occasion: “We congratulate the trainees on their hard work and dedication. We are confident that their efforts will pay off in the future.” He added, “This program aligns closely with the #IAmTourism strategy, which serves as a comprehensive roadmap for all training and development programs by incorporating fresh perspectives, supporting sustainable growth and high standards of professionalism, as well as raising awareness about the opportunities and offerings of the promising tourism sector as a key economic driver.”

Roaa Al Kathiri, Eidaad trainee at Finance Department said: “I could not be more grateful for this opportunity. The program has shaped my soft skills in communication, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving. It has prepared me professionally for my future career, and now I feel more confident that I will be able to apply what I learned in the program to my university studies.”

According to Rashid Al Lamki, Eidaad trainee at Financial Planning & Reporting Department: “My experience with the Eidaad program was incredibly special. I deeply appreciated the relationships I built, and the time I spent at OMRAN Group, and the valuable lessons I received. The program gave me the opportunity to apply the theoretical aspects of my studies, which gave me deeper insight and effective skills in preparing report.”

This initiative highlights OMRAN Group’s commitment to building national capacity and aligns with its strategies to focus on human resource development and fulfil the demand for qualified national professional to support the development of the tourism sector.
