OMRAN Group Celebrates LIFT Program Graduates, Strengthening Leadership in Oman’s Hospitality Sector

Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN Group) celebrated a significant milestone with the graduation of the participants of the inaugural LIFT Program, an advanced leadership development initiative tailored for the hospitality industry.

The LIFT Program, which spanned 12 months, was developed and implemented in collaboration with Bahwan Cybertech and The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management. It integrates a robust curriculum designed to enhance leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and operational excellence specific to the hospitality industry.

Mr. Mohamed Al Ghufaili, Chief Operating Officer at OMRAN Group, expressed his pride in the graduates and the program’s impact, stating: “The LIFT Program exemplifies our commitment to building a sustainable future for Oman’s hospitality sector. This initiative is a key step in our broader mission to empower Omani professionals with the tools and opportunities to lead the sector into a new era of growth and innovation. Additionally, this program reflects the importance of true hospitality, which is deeply rooted in Omani culture, showcasing our nation’s authentic spirit to the world”.

Dr. Steve Burn, Dean of The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, commented on the partnership: “We are honored to work alongside OMRAN Group to deliver the LIFT Program. Our mission has always been to inspire and shape the next generation of leaders in hospitality, and this initiative exemplifies the importance of investing in human capital to drive industry growth.”

The ceremony also celebrated the exceptional achievements of its participants, awarding the top three performing graduates for their outstanding contributions and commitment throughout the program. These recognitions highlighted the participants’ dedication to excellence and their potential to serve as industry leaders.

Reflecting on the program, Mariam Al Araimi, one of the graduates, shared: “Participating in the LIFT Program has been a transformative journey. Over the past 12 months, we have been exposed to in-depth training sessions that combined theoretical insights with real-world applications. These experiences have empowered me to take on leadership roles with confidence and a clear strategic vision for the future.”

Another graduate, Hashim Al Baraka, added: “The program has deepened my understanding of critical leadership skills such as strategic planning, team management, and emotional intelligence. I am confident that the knowledge and skills I’ve gained will enable me to contribute effectively to Oman’s growing hospitality sector.”
