OMRAN Group Invites Local Companies to Register on the “Intajee” E-Platform
In line with its ongoing commitment to enhance In-Country Value (ICV) and support the growth of local business, Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN Group) has launched the “Intajee” e-platform. This innovative platform aims to enhance economic growth by empowering local companies and entrepreneurs and expanding the presence of made in Omani products in the tourism and hospitality sector, which contributes to strengthening the local industry and highlighting Omani products in the sector.
Badriya bint Abdulrahman Al Siyabi, Director of Sustainability and Social Investment at OMRAN Group, stated: “The Intajee platform is one of OMRAN Group’s initiatives aimed at enhancing local content.” She explained that the platform serves as a link between local suppliers and manufacturers and OMRAN Group, its companies, hotels, and resorts, thereby supporting the competitiveness of made in Oman products and creating an authentic tourism experience for a diverse range of visitors.
She added: “The platform will offer an organized database of made in Oman products and suppliers within the tourism and hospitality sector, playing a pivotal role in promoting Omani brands and enhancing their presence and growth in the local market.”
OMRAN Group encourages local companies and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to register on the platform and showcase their products and services through the link: intajee.om.
OMRAN Group’s objectives are focused on enhancing the potential of the tourism sector in Oman and reinforcing the role of local businesses in achieving this goal. Last year, the Group achieved a 51% ICV index for SMEs, with 450 baisa from every Omani rial spent on SMEs. The total expenditure on SMEs last year amounted to OMR 15 million, while over OMR 8.5 million was spent on locally manufactured products. Meanwhile, the group invested more than OMR 200,000 in technology localization.
