OMRAN Group bags three awards at World Travel Awards

Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN Group), the executive arm of the Sultanate for tourism development, bagged three awards at the recently held 26th World Travel Awards 2019 that took place at the Royal Opera House Muscat on 28th November 2019.
During the ceremony, OMRAN Group received the âWorldâs Leading Tourism Development Companyâ 2019 accolade.
The prestigious international accolade recognises OMRANâs contribution to the Sultanateâs growth through the tourism sector, underpinning its achievements in the development of strategic tourism projects that supports the National diversification and Tourism Strategy.
Developed by OMRAN Group as part of the mega urban complex Madinat Al Irfan, the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) also bagged the âWorldâs Leading New Exhibition & Convention Centre 2019â award. Supporting the growing business tourism sector in Oman, the world-class OCEC offers space with cutting-edge communications and audio-visual technology for conferences, exhibitions, meetings, weddings and special events.
OMRANâs new iconic hotel, W Muscat, also received the âWorld Leading New Hotel 2019â Award during the global celebration ceremony. Hailed as a world-class addition to Muscatâs beachside lifestyle at Shatti Al Qurum and next to the Royal Opera House Muscat, the W Muscat caters to the growing demand for luxury tourism in the region. The hotel comprises 279 five-star keys, each boasting sea views and finished with design references to the diverse beauty of Oman and its heritage.
