About Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve
The Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve is home to four different breeds of sea turtles. As the only place where these interesting creatures can be viewed, the location has a strong influence on the Sultanate’s eco-tourism. The reserve has been established to protect these species and provide them with a haven for nesting. With knowledgeable guides offering tours in the mornings and at night, the reserve offers a one-of-a-kind experience of watching turtles in their natural habitat.
Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve’s turtle visitor centre is specifically dedicated to the sea turtle’s life span and the archaeological findings at Ras Al Jinz. The centre consists of a new museum that has graphical display systems and advanced technologies.
