OMRAN Group Reaffirms the Role of Omani Women in Shaping the Future of Tourism

On the Omani Women’s Day, OMRAN Group reaffirms its deep appreciation for the role of Omani women and their contributions to the nation’s development journey. The Group believes that true empowerment is achieved not through words, but by creating real opportunities that transform potential into lasting impact — shaping the future of Oman’s tourism sector.

Since its inception, OMRAN Group has adopted a people-centric approach at the heart of its development strategy, driven by the conviction that nurturing national talents — both men and women — is essential to sustainable growth. Within this framework, the Group has launched a series of leadership and capacity-building initiatives, including the G!FT program, which focuses on empowering women in the tourism sector and opening new pathways for professional excellence and leadership.

The G!FT program stands as one of the flagship initiatives under the #IAmTourism strategy — OMRAN Group’s roadmap for human capital development in the tourism sector. Designed as a comprehensive learning platform, the program combines theory with practical application through a series of specialized workshops covering leadership, team management, emotional intelligence, creative thinking, and work–life balance.

The first edition of G!FT, concluded in 2024, celebrated the graduation of 20 female employees, representing diverse disciplines within tourism development, hospitality, marketing, and administration. The program delivered measurable results in enhancing participants’ professional capabilities and fostering confidence and collaboration within their workplaces.

Building on this success, OMRAN Group launched the second edition in 2025, continuing to invest in the potential of promising female talents. The initiative aims to develop a growing network of women leaders capable of steering the growth and transformation of Oman’s tourism landscape.

The G!FT program embodies this commitment by offering an interactive and inspiring environment that helps women unlock their leadership potential and creativity.”

She added: “What sets this program apart is its holistic design — addressing not only administrative and managerial skills but also personal and cognitive aspects that shape a true leader. We believe Omani women possess both the ambition and capability, and our role is to provide them with the platform and opportunities they deserve to make a meaningful impact.”

Reflecting on her experience, Yusra Majid Al Kindi, a participant of the second edition, said: “G!FT was a defining moment in my professional journey. It helped me approach challenges with structure and confidence while enhancing my leadership and problem-solving skills. The program went beyond knowledge — it built self-belief and reaffirmed the vital role we play as women in driving positive change within our organizations.”

She added that the sense of teamwork among participants was one of the key strengths of the program: “The environment fostered by G!FT was one of encouragement, collaboration, and shared growth — allowing us to learn from one another and support each other in both professional and personal challenges.”

Today, G!FT represents one of OMRAN Group’s cornerstone initiatives for institutional empowerment, complementing a range of other programs dedicated to developing youth, graduates, and national leaders. Collectively, these efforts reflect the Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting Oman’s national vision for inclusive growth and women’s participation in economic and social development.
